Hayne House wedding with black couple, orange bridesmaid dresses and colourful smoke bomb portraits

Rustic Hayne House Wedding With Smoke Bombs

Photography by Olegs & Rita Photography

This incredible Hayne House wedding celebrates four different cultures throughout the day; Ugandan, Rwandan, Tanzanian and British. Captured by Recommended Supplier, Olegs Samsonovs Photography, this stunning day gives us everything from smoke bomb portraits to a stunning rustic vibe throughout. We absolutely love the orange bridesmaid dresses, which work perfectly against the pale dried floral bouquets. Oh, and the black-tie? You know we’re always here for it! We are also obsessing over the table centrepieces! Seriously, do not miss them…

The ceremony was truly magical and we were blessed with great weather. Everything started and finished on time and seeing my bride walk down the aisle was just amazing.

CELEBRATING CULTURE

Our day was unique because we were able to celebrate 4 different cultures throughout the day; Ugandan, Rwandan, Tanzanian and British. It was important we incorporated this as it represented who we are. We had traditional attire and traditional dancing. We were engaged at the end of January 2021 and got married at the beginning of September 2021, which means we didn't have a lot of time to plan but we managed to do a great job of it, despite covid and the pandemic making things harder!

VIBE

There was a great vibe throughout the day. We had a rustic theme. Bridesmaids wore orange dresses and the bouquets had a rustic feel to them as they were dried flowers - we wanted something that would compliment the time of the year and the season. Our supporting colours were orange, champagne, gold and burgundy. Regardless of this, we still wanted it to look fairly minimalistic as it was a small venue and there was already so much natural beauty.

One thing I would say is, just do what makes you happy. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or what anyone has to say. It's your special day and in our case, we pretty much paid for everything ourselves so we wanted to do it on our own terms. Also if possible, utilise having a wedding planner. It was one of the best decisions we could have made as it relieved so much pressure and stress which then allowed us to enjoy the process a lot more.
