We hope you’ve got your bridal party on call because these green mismatched bridesmaid dresses by Recommended supplier, Rewritten Bridesmaids, are stunning. Hopefully, we’ve just ticked one thing off your wedding planning list before we’ve even gotten into Roxy & Joby’s jaw-dropping day at Recommended venue, Lulworth Castle. There’s no doubt we’ll be ticking off more. The couple had modern flower columns for the spring wedding with a pastel yellow and white colour scheme. Just wait until you see this wedding cake (made by the bride herself!)…we won't spoil it anymore, scroll to see for yourself!
My oldest brother, who is a talented musician, actually composed the piece that Dorset String Quartet played for my aisle walk. It was so special and meant that the bridal party and I got to walk down the aisle to something so personal and touching. They also played an assortment of pop covers for our drinks reception, which felt very Bridgerton!

The vibe for Roxy & Joby's day was "ethereal enchanted castle on a spring day". The couple wanted to incorporate pastel yellow heavily into the wedding aesthetic. It's not a popular colour for weddings but they both thought it would be particularly dreamy against the warm stone of Lulworth Castle. Roxy & Joby also included sage green, creams and pops of soft peach with lots of beautiful wild, springtime flowers. This includes those fabulous satin green mismatched bridesmaid dresses and the lemon-yellow seating chart!
Roxy is the co-owner and founder of London-based cake company April's Baker and knew she had to make her own wedding cake. She used the inspiration for the wedding day to influence the design. They ended up with a detailed three-tiered heart-shaped vintage wedding cake. The cake had pastel yellow tones with a vintage dove cake topper for that extra drama. The flavour was lemon and earl grey! The cake was next to some incredible flower column arrangements that were re-purposed from Roxy & Joby's earlier ceremony.
The wonderful thing about choosing a dry hire venue such as Lulworth Castle meant that Roby & Joby got to have a say in every element of their day. The whole wedding was utterly bespoke to them, right down to the tiniest detail!
The morning of the big day, my sister came into my room at 6 am playing Marry You by Bruno Mars and we just danced ridiculously in our PJs. It was one of my favourite memories and set the fun mood for the whole day! Finally seeing Joby and holding each other's hands at the start of our ceremony was a favourite moment too. It just helped to settle all my excited nerves when I was standing up there with my best friend and husband-to-be. Knowing that it all just comes down to us promising to love each other forever.
