Today's classic wedding features illustrations of our favourite tipple in the form of a gin table plan. Plus, lots of amazing DIY projects, and some of our fabulous handpicked wedding suppliers from our directory The List. It doesn't get much better than that does it!
What Made Our Day Unique
Absolutely everything was perfect! Stubton Hall is utterly beautiful, with such charm in every single corner; it was the perfect backdrop to our special day and really complimented our overall style. I think we managed to create an atmosphere that really reflected us as a couple. Our suppliers were all amazing and instrumental in bringing our ideas to life. With our personal twists added along the way, our wedding was truly unique to us.
Olivia & Oliver
Gin Table Plan
Olivia and Oliver were determined to put their own spin on their classic wedding where possible! Olivia taught herself calligraphy to use on the invitations and place settings. She also hand wrote all the names and addresses in modern calligraphy to accompany them. Next, she created a hoop full of family portraits by wrapping a standard hula hoop in copper tape and then attaching wedding pictures of her and her groom's parents and grandparents. It was then dressed by the florist with foliage and flowers. There were plenty more personalised aspects to the wedding too, including signs on the guest doors, etched bridesmaid hangers and personalised cocktails. Not to mention the genius Gin table plan, which included illustrations of all the couples favourite brands. We're pleased to see Hendricks made the list.
Inspiration & Styling
Romantic and laidback with our own little twists. We didn’t want anything to be too formal or traditional, we wanted it to feel very ‘us’! We focused on soft nude and pale blush paired with grey and copper colours to create a relaxed yet luxurious style. Our flowers mirrored this feel with their natural ‘just picked’ style, we displayed flowers on the tables in copper terrariums to make it a bit less traditional and to add a hint of luxe!
