Gabri the Bride-To-Be: Joe and I grew up in the same area, in one of the home counties. However we properly got to know each other when we met up for some dates in London where we live. We share a love for the same things like skiing, outdoor activities, festivals and adventuring around the world. I am a senior designer for a jewellery fashion brand and Joe runs a advertising program to help start up businesses. After 4 years Joe proposed to me down by the river in Cookham (our special place) and hid our friends Vintage Wooden Thames Launcher boat with champagne on it for us to sail down the river and celebrate on!! Joe went to Hatton garden in London (the jewellery quarter) and hand picked my princess cut white diamond and then designed the beautiful and unique halo setting for it.
We are getting married in Italy, on a romantic hilltop in the countryside. We will have a fiddler serenading us while we have aperitivo on the balcony overlooking the Umbrian hills. The reception will be bohemian theme in an overgrown garden with chandeliers in trees, long banquet tables with flowers & greenery wildly overflowing off the ends of the tables, gold candelabra's, white feathers with gold painted tips as the name places, and fairy lights everywhere!! Joe and I chose Italy because we have a shared love the all things Italian (food/wine/scenery/weather) Joe also speaks the language as he lived there for 1 year whilst studying at Uni, so that has helped massively with the planning!
For our engagement shoot
our photographers flew over from Italy and we did it in the Primrose Hill and Camden area. They are a super cool husband and wife duo who aim to capture emotional, real photos. Having never done this before Joe and I were a little nervous but in the end it was one of the best days, we spent the whole day laughing together and having fun and by the end of the day we had also made two great friends in Andrea and Federica! They are professional yet fun, the perfect combo!
