VISION
This shoot was all about taking a venue with lots of space and creating something special. It shows you can take a warehouse and make it into anything you want – in this case, a pink floral paradise. Just because you’re in a warehouse doesn’t mean lots of different styles can’t work.
IN BLOOM
"The shoot was inspired by the Gucci Bloom editorials. The ever talented and ingenious Agnes and Bee created our little magical floral wonderland. Kate also provided the beautiful candlesticks and centrepieces for the table that gave it that glam Gucci look. The flowers were bold and wild but still had lots of beautiful blooms to create an absolutely beautiful wedding look. We really wanted to do a pink look as it seems to be thought of as unimaginative. We wanted to show that pink can be fresh and cutting edge. The table runners and napkins were by Silk and Purl who creates the most beautiful silks. Knock Knock Penny Studio created a mix of looks from beautifully textured menus with perfect pink velvet bows to simple styles that could be incorporated into any table layout. The table we created was a real statement and perfect to create something magical for guests to be apart of and if you wanted to go simpler the table flowers created the perfect paired back look." - Hannah Wilkinson of Knock Knock Penny Studio
PLANNING & STYLING
"We chose Hinterlands as it is an upcoming venue with a lot of street cred. It has a brilliant white space with lots of light to create the perfect backdrop for our wild florals. We wanted to make it look like the flowers had appeared from the space to give it a really impactful look. Three styles of dresses were chosen for the shoot from the lovely Flamingo Boulevard Bridal Studio. The designers were from Rembo Stylings and Wtoo by Watters. The dresses were all accessorised perfectly by Wongs Jewellers and Charlotte Medford Bridal. Models were Sharon Andrea and Kit Williams and Melanie Costello. For the shoot, I had to have the amazing Charlotte Medford and Hannah Carson MUA. Charlotte created beautiful relaxed styles for brides that want something a bit simpler and with a modern twist. Hannah Carson Mua created make-up looks that complemented everything perfectly. We wanted fresh looking make up that makes brides feel amazing. Finally, I want to mention Amy Faith Photography who seriously understands a brief when given one. If you were to book her for a wedding your pictures will be truly magical." - Hannah Wilkinson of Knock Knock Penny Studio
