Oh my. If you do one thing today, we suggest you pour over the images of this floaty wedding dress by Ailsa Munro. Kati & George were married in an intimate wedding of just 21 at, Recommended venue, Treseren, complete with beautiful florals from Three Acre. This beautiful couple both run their own businesses, so it was important to them to support smaller suppliers. Kati’s evening ritual in the lead-up to her wedding day was to grab a cup of tea and read all about real weddings in our inspiration section! Now, that is a pastime we can get on board with. They opted for neutral tones throughout, as these are the colours throughout their home. This allowed for a familiar and cosy feel on the day.
Our Fiat 126 was an epic DIY project. This treasure was a barn find that George restored all by himself in time for the wedding (even respraying it). He drove the car to the venue on the day - Breaking down about 4 times on the A30. This is the story behind the rear windshield writing that George added - 'Just Married' and 'Just Made It'.

Ailsa & Kati worked on the design of her wedding dress using various inspirations from the 70s; big sleeves, and an effortless and unrestrained look. They also added modern touches too, as they didn’t want the dress to look dated. The fabric picked was off-white silk, which moved like water and looked as fresh as snow! The base pattern for Kati’s wrap wedding dress and bishop sleeves were Ailsa's own and were created back in 2015. Having been left dress-less just 6 weeks before her wedding day, Ailsa truly saved the day and was able to create this beautiful gown with a tight deadline!
“Enjoy it and don't let stress take over! Draw inspiration from yourselves and what you both love. Never compare yourself or your wedding to someone else's. Don't feel any pressure to have everything planned down to the last minute - if there is one day you are not in control of anything really, it's your wedding day. Sounds hard, especially if you are a couple of perfectionists like us, but it's really a very good thing as everything just happens how and when it should. So embrace those perfectly imperfect moments!” Kati & George
It was really our guests and the venue that made the day unique. With such a small and intimate wedding with 21 of us, it was so special being able to focus on spending time with each other and our guests. The smaller scale eliminated any stress or rushing around.

This floaty wedding dress by Ailsa Munro is a serious winner. Collaborating with a designer to create a bespoke dress may sound daunting, but it’s an incredible way to ensure you wear something you love! We’re also enjoying the fact that Kati & George included their pet dog within their big day, and if you need a push to include yours, you’ve come to the right place…
