Getting engaged is most definitely a special occasion, so make sure you celebrate with a glass of something cold and bubbly! Throw an engagement get-together for friends and family to announce your special news. It doesn’t have to be extravagant, something as simple as drinks at your favourite pub or a dinner party at home is fine - but people will want to celebrate with you! Everyone loves a good wedding, and it's lovely to get caught up in the excitement of it all.

Get the difficult decisions out of the way first. It can be cheaper to have a weekday wedding, but remember that this will involve people having to take time off work.
