In the Somerset countryside, Coombe Lodge played host to this black-tie wedding, with the bride in a beautiful Stella McCartney wedding dress and the groom looking dapper in a velvet tux. Every element of this wedding is so delicately beautiful, from the beaded wedding cake to the blush pink bouquets. The day had personalised touches from the Bride and Groom themselves with tasty handmade DIY biscuits as favours. It was a gin-lovers paradise with gin decor at every turn including gin candle holders, gin centrepieces and gin vases!

What Made Our Day Unique
Handmade place settings made of delicious ginger biscuits with everyone's names printed in the lemon icing. It took a long time to make them but ended up definitely worthwhile. We also had a first look set of photos before all the guests arrived and it was a nice portion of calm before everything kicked off after all the months of stress in the lead up to the day.

Believe it or not, the bride wanted to divert attention away from herself, hence the black-tie dress code, however, how can you not pay all your attention to Ellie as she looked absolutely stunning in a halterneck Stella McCartney wedding dress. Teamed with a Charlie Brear overskirt (from Tilly's Bridal Boutique, who you can find on our handpicked supplier list) that was worn in the daytime to add a fuller feel to the skirt, this dress complimented the bride, the venue and the black-tie day beautifully.

Inspiration & Styling
The vibe was black tie. If you can believe it Ellie thought that it would reduce the number of people looking at her if everyone else was also super dressed up. It didn't work: everyone looked at her and she looked stunning! Our cake maker is a close friend and for the flowers, Ellie spent a long time looking at Instagram until she found someone who she liked design-wise and also grew all her own flowers in the South West.
