This wedding truly has my heart all a flutter. The location. The Rara Avis dress. The flowers. The golden hour light. The wedding breakfast table. The cake. Honestly, I'm slightly breathless. This fairytale Tuscan wedding is romance personified and could not be more picture perfect.

Fairytale Tuscan Wedding at Tenuta La Fratta

Gulia & Diego: We fell in love with the simplicity, the peace and the natural beauty of Tenuta La Fratta. The location is wonderfully unique: a place to regenerate whilst, at the same time, have fun - which in our books meant drinking wine and tasting excellent Tuscan cuisine! We wanted to make a weekend of our wedding, and so had all our guests stay with us at Tenuta La Fratta for three days. It was amazing.

Romantic Tuscany Wedding With Rara Avis

We planned our big day with the help of Giulia Alessandri, a wedding planner specialising in destination weddings in Tuscany. Our brief was to spend a weekend with friends in a stunning setting, and she exceeded our expectations. The civil ceremony was celebrated under a beautiful ancient tree surrounded by spectacular flowers; we joked that these created 'a hug' around the tree itself. Working with Chiara Sperti Floral Events, Giulia created magical floral displays for our big day. The flowers were romantic with soft colours, but at the same time strong and bold. She used dahlias, jasmine branches, eucalyptus, olive branches and more to create a vision of beauty.

Outdoor Wedding Reception

Our outdoor wedding reception in the courtyard at Tenuta La Fratta was stunning. A soft linen table runner with natural hues ran down the centre of the imperial table, which was decorated with burnished iron candlesticks, pink tapered candles and gorgeous florals. Together with the lights that illuminated the walls of the farm, the setting was like a dream made real. Our wedding cake was semi-naked and made by Amalia Emili, a talented Tuscan cake designer. It was decorated with pretty pink petals and surrounded by tea lights.

True love is clearly found in Tuscany, and I can't think of a more perfect setting to say 'I do'. Hands up who's booking flights to Italy stat? (Or at least browsing RMW's archives for more stunning Italian weddings. Swoon.)
