Rianna’s Essense Of Australia lace wedding dress isn’t the only beautiful thing to come out of this River Thames wedding! This beautiful couple were married at the groom’s parent’s river garden, an incredibly special place in which they shared their first kiss and were engaged! As it wasn’t your typical wedding venue, Rianna & George threw themselves into a little DIY. The wedding signs, arch and placeholders were all created by the bride and groom. They also decided to throw out any traditions they didn’t want, such as a first dance and wedding cake! Of course, each aspect is perfectly captured by Recommended Supplier Nicola Dawson Photography.
Our ceremony included elements such as handfasting, and we decided to get rid of any traditions that didn’t seem like us. The mother of the bride and the bride did speeches and there was no traditional wedding cake or first dance to be seen.

Rianna’s bridesmaids were super on-trend in their beautifully sleek satin bridesmaid dresses with spaghetti straps and cowl necklines. Perfect for the summer! The gorgeous couple also DIY’d their wedding signage, which is the perfect option if you’re looking to save a few pennies and add a little eco-friendliness to your wedding day. And of course, a moment for the boat ride, which allowed them to capture some incredible couples portraits.
Rianna & George began working with their celebrant 18 months before their wedding day and spent a lot of time with him considering their values in marriage. This allowed them to construct a ceremony which was deeply personal. They also included both their parents and siblings during the handfasting ceremony, allowing them to share the moment with central people within their lives. They both felt incredibly supported throughout their ceremony.
Our photographer, Nicola Dawson Photography, was incredible! She stayed much later than planned!
