We spent time researching suppliers by using wedding supplier websites initially. We found that a lot of suppliers had been doing supplier shoots and workshops through Covid and posting these on Instagram, this really helped identify and shortlist suppliers. Also, we found these shoots were a handy source of inspiration for styling. Then we shortlisted the suppliers we really wanted to work with and we chose our date around their availability, this allowed us to secure all of our preferred suppliers as we were flexible with our date.

Deb wore a bespoke wedding dress from Emma Beaumont Atelier with hand-sewn botanical embroidery and beading. Deb worked with Emma on her wedding dress for 15 months to create a dress that matched Deb's vision completely. The bridesmaids wore blush pink dresses with pearls and beaded accents. Deb & Luke wanted to ensure that there were lots of bespoke elements to the day to create unique memories they could treasure. The groom's outfit, Deb's engagement ring and also both wedding bands were custom made too. For favours, the couple opted to use bottles of gin, which were also personally distilled by them!
Deb & Luke wanted to marry in a rustic barn venue but still wanted to have a luxurious vibe and settled on a rustic luxe theme. They dressed the tables with linen tablecloths to create more of an elegant look against the wooden backdrop of the barn. The couple gave a nod to their Yorkshire roots with stationery that included Yorkshire dialect and slang words. Deb & Luke absolutely love dance music so the couple had a speakeasy bar area with playlists of dance music from the 80s and 90s. With the epic band and singers, the dance floor was full all night and they ended up with a wedding rave in a barn!
It was amazing to spend the day with family and friends who had travelled from Australia to celebrate our wedding. During the meal it was so lovely to watch everyone enjoying themselves and having an amazing time, it was exactly as we envisaged. It's important to spend time with each other on the day. While everyone was finishing desserts we snuck out to get some golden hour photos. These turned out to be some of the most stunning pics of the day but it also allowed Luke and I to get some much-needed downtime before the dance party started.
