Edible Flowers For Cake

Photography by Sarah Rook Photography

Ok, we genuinely feel as though we may have just stumbled upon a Hugh Grant movie - we can’t get enough of this insanely classic wedding! From their flower pressed wedding cake, to their beautiful marquee setup (which is giving us major Parisian vibes), Archie and Catherine took their personal styles and truly threw it into their wedding day. Their vintage styling is reflected in just about everything; from the romantic flower bouquets to the classic car, to serving their very own IPA and Rosé, fresh from the family vineyard. Catherine looked absolutely breathtaking in a Margaux Tardits dress, flanked by her beautiful bridesmaids, in elegant colours of emerald green and royal blue. We also suggest you take a look at the post-wedding photos; we’re not entirely sure we’ve witnessed a pet sheep looking quite so photogenic… but honestly, nothing really surprises us these days. Shaun, you look fabulous darling.

What Made Our Day Unique

Having the wedding at home on the vineyard meant that we were able to serve our own wines to our friends and family. Catherine’s brother even brewed an IPA and, in the days running up to the wedding, we were also able to blend a still rosé. This connection to the family business was a great talking point and something that we were really proud to showcase.

Edible Flowers For Cake

We’re aware a wedding cake can become a little, well, same-y at times. So, if you’re looking for something a little different, this could be the way to go. We feel as though this cake is truly a reflection of Archie and Catherine as a couple, and worked perfectly with the styling of their day. It is also, quite frankly, an absolute showstopper, giving off the perfect balance of rustic and vintage. Remember, your wedding cake really doesn’t have to be traditional…

Inspiration & Styling

We really just tried to complement the location of Catherine’s family home. The chinoiserie lining of the LPM Bohemia marquee was a great aesthetic starting point that we fleshed out with flower arrangements made by Catherine’s godmother. Childhood friends at Okehurst Design provided some finishing touches in the marquee and bar area with a few key pieces of furniture.
