Hispanic-America and the Highlands collide at this incredible autumnal wedding at Dunglass Estate. From a ceremony in the 15th century gothic church to the beautifully boho reception by candlelight, this wedding is about as dreamy as it gets! We're talking whisky tasting, personalised candle wedding favours and kilts. (Like, a whole lot of kilts...). Not only all of this, but Sharon and Alex planned the whole thing from across the pond in America. They teamed up with Scottish based planners Timeless White Weddings, Stylists from GLOAM and many Zoom calls later, created the show stopping Scottish wedding you have before you. So without further ado, let's see some of that tartan...
The day at Dunglass Estate was perfect and magical. The venue, weather, architecture, scenery, food - it was all something we experienced for the first time & made for a very memorable wedding for everyone involved.

We wanted our vibe to feel like us. Right after we got engaged, we spent countless hours on Instagram looking for unique and fresh inspirations. We really wanted something that was different yet timeless and bookmarked everything we liked! Then we started piecing together a look and feel using all the elements we liked from each post. We wanted our whole vibe to feel moody, romantic, and a little bit gothic which GLOAM helped bring to life. Dunglass Estate was the perfect location and Lena beautifully captured the vibe!
For our ceremony, our officiant is a close friend and he had a speech that catered to our personalities and likes. It was filled with a lot of movie quotes and song lyrics that we love. It flowed perfectly and had our guests laughing and crying! Music is a big part of our lives so we curated a list of favorites and shared with our DJ (Mark). He had our favourites playing during the entire day at Dunglass Estate (cocktail hour/whisky tasting, dinner and reception). He also played some of our favorite Spanish tracks and had us dancing for hours.
During our ceremony, it was very windy and my veil was flapping with the wind. I kept thinking our pictures would be ruined but turns out, our photographers Lena and Patrick worked their magic and made our first kiss one of my favorite photos of the day. My veil had wrapped around us while we kissed for the first time as a married couple & it actually was a perfect moment despite me freaking out when it happened!
