What Made Our Day Unique
We wanted our day to be personal and intimate with a grand feel. The venue really made the day extra special and unique and we were spoiled for choice with gorgeous backdrops (our favourite being Camellia house which we used for the ceremony). From its gorgeous gardens, clifftop location, romantic interior and amazing history topped off with a stay in the incredibly grand Eisenhower suite (used by President Eisenhower of the USA on his visits!). A memorable touch was being zipped around the castle grounds in golf buggies by the wonderful staff at Culzean and being cheered by onlookers!Emma & Sudipta
The stunning National Trust Culzean Castle wedding venue is situated on the picturesque coast in Scotland. With romantic interiors and beautiful gardens, it was simply perfect for this fairytale celebration. The venue speaks for itself, so the simple decor was all that was needed to create this elegant wedding. The orangery was perfect for the intimate ceremony, there wasn't a dry eye in the house as close family made emotional readings. The beautiful views and manicured lawns were the perfect backdrop for drinks on the terrace and made for stunning wedding portraits!
Inspiration & Styling
In keeping with the stunning venue, we went for a classic and romantic feel and styled the decor around the venue. We also added several personal touches which really added to the intimate feel of the day. From the Scottish handfasting ceremony and evening ceilidh dancing to the beautiful stationary hand-designed by my talented friend Sarah. To link in Sudipta's heritage we included Indian-inspired elements; one of the ceremony readings was the beautiful 'Unending Love', written by the famous Bengali poet Tagore, which was very special. We also had elephant favours and Indian snacks and sweets during the evening reception.Emma & Sudipta
