Destination weddings are back in full swing, and this Crete wedding is one you’ll want to see! Lauren & Lewis were engaged during lockdown and booked their entire wedding remotely without visiting Crete. Wanting a simple, relaxed and rustic vibe, they opted for dusky pinks and seasonal olive leaves, in keeping with the charm and colour palette of the venue. Their beautiful florals included David Austin Patience roses, alongside wildflowers and thistles (a nod to Lewis’ Scottish roots) and simple olive leaf garlands along the tables. It’s giving serious Mama Mia vibes, and quite frankly, who doesn’t love that?
We knew we wanted to get married in Greece and fell in love with the venue after seeing photos and reading reviews, so we took a leap of faith! Agreco is a beautiful organic farm and vineyard set in the hills overlooking Rethymno and the Aegean Sea.

CRETE WEDDING & SUPPLIERS
Lauren & Lewis found having a local wedding planner invaluable, especially as they weren’t familiar with the area and didn’t speak the local language. They opted for Stepsis Wedding Planners who are based in Rethymno. Having planned many weddings at Agreco Farm they were incredibly experienced at running events there, and were well-connected to the best local vendors! They truly brought Lewis & Lauren’s vision to life!
Our symbolic ceremony was really beautiful. Annika from Weddings By Moments was just amazing and made our ceremony so personal and special. So many of our guests said it was the highlight of their day.

We’re loving this Crete wedding and all its intricate details. Planning a destination wedding may seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be! Especially with the help of a local wedding planner and some incredible florists.
