Multicultural Core Clapton Wedding

Photography by Micaela Karina Photography

This post-lockdown African wedding at the Core Clapton will have you falling in love immediately! Marie & Abbas finally said their I-do’s after COVID thwarted their plans twice before. But, as always, love wins! And they eventually made it down the aisle during this intimate 30 person wedding. Going for a clean & crisp vibe, this gorgeous day consisted of neutral colours and a reception straight out of an editorial - how incredible are those floral table decorations? Wow. Of course, we do have Recommended Supplier, Events With Akilah, to thank for the beautiful planning of this day, and Prezola for their Gift List! Marie looks simply stunning in her full princess gown, complete with a sweetheart neckline and statement drop earrings. A day so full of light and love - we can’t get enough!

Usually our weddings are a large affair, but we managed to inject the same flavour into a smaller event - including three outfit changes!

VIBE

The ultimate aim for us was for everyone to feel how much love was in the room. We are never too serious, stuffy, or traditional, just always about having a good time. Styling was simple but beautiful. I am very much a neutrals girl, so I wanted the same vibes for my wedding; clean and crisp.

WEDDING GOWN

Our traditional wedding clothes were made in Senegal. My wedding dress was purchased at the shop I used to live close to as a child and would stare through. So the wedding was a full 180 moment for me. Special shoutouts to all my vendors who had to endure three wedding dates and an elopement meltdown!

We absolutely love the luxe feel an all white wedding can bring to the table. So simple, yet so chic & elegant.

My favourite moment… can I just say all of it?! One of my favourite moments was my Husband performing a Boyz II Men style speech.
