Dress
Charlotte the Bride: I knew I always wanted an open back dress so when I tried on
Inaru by Enzoani Blue I felt emotional, it looked amazing and I knew it was the one. The dress was elegant, fitted and had a touch of lace and embellishment which was just perfect for me.
I feel in love with my shoes when I saw them on
@imlaurabradshaw Instagram feed, and then only later to find they we're actually called 'Charlotte' which felt like a sign! The sole of the shoes are finished off with an elegance engraving 'just beautiful shoes'….it was obviously meant to be.
My husband secretly choose my jewellery a few months before I bought it. When we we're shopping he noticed the set in Swarovski and said he really liked it. I absolutely loved the set and thought it would be a nice surprise for him on the day.
Grooms Attire
Surprisingly, finding the perfect suit was the hardest part of the wedding. We travelled to Newcastle to visit
Master Debonair which I had found a wedding blog. We wanted a suit style that fitted the country boho styling and it was well worth the trip!
We also kitted out the Groomsmen, Father of the Bride and Father of the Groom with soft pastel coloured socks as we thought this would make a great picture opportunity and looked really good when they we're sitting down in the ceremony.
As a gift to the Groomsmen, Father of the Bride and Father of the Groom we bought engraved pocket watches. Stag's are the Grooms favorite animal and this was a clear theme throughout the wedding. Each pocket watch was engraved with a personal message, something as a keep sake with words that would mean a lot to each person. In the end we brought them from
Men's Gift Company, as they were out of stock on all other websites! Tom who works there was a great help!
The groom's attire was completed by a stag tie pin. Stag's are my husband's favourite animal it was really important for them to be featured throughout the wedding.
The Venue
We wanted a venue that was close to home but also somewhere that was beautiful, and fitted with our county boho styling. It was also important to have a venue we could make our own for the day. My husband Paul works in the countryside and loves farm land, so a beautiful barn just felt right.
Colour Scheme/Décor
As I work in the fashion/design industry I knew exactly what I wanted. Many hours on
Pinterest pinning my ideas meant that I wanted to perfect every little detail of my wedding. I knew I wanted grey as my colour scheme and the only pop of colour would be within the flowers and for this I chose a selection of soft pinks.
