The Dress
Carolin the Bride: I was offered to wear the coronal and earrings by the groom`s Mother. I fell in love with them the moment I saw them and the fact that she wore the coronal on her own wedding made it very special to me.
The civil wedding dress and the church wedding dress both had amazing french lace and were very comfortable to wear. My mothers wedding dress was unfortunately too short to wear with shoes, but I wore it in the morning whilst getting ready instead.
Venue
The
venue was perfect for the wedding. Since the groom`s parents and my parents met for the first time, I wanted something more private than a hotel, but still a place were everybody could stay overnight together. The location of the venue was a perfect fit to the chic countryside theme.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Maria-Magdalenen Church in Berkenthin. The entrance into the church was very emotional for me and especially for my Father, since I am going to live in Mexico after the wedding.
Photographer
There was no doubt that I wanted
Ann-Kathrin Koch to photograph the wedding, her pictures are by far the best of all I have seen. She has a beautiful style!
Decor & Details
Very special for me were the place cards and the seating plan, my Mother was painting for months. Each guest got a different flower.
The presents for the guests were wrapped in a handmade box, which the groom`s Mother bought in Mexico. Inside, we put a handmade soap, from the Sylter Seifenmanufaktur. Each present had a card with the guest`s name printed on it.
Also the groom`s Aunt brought us two typical mariachi sombrero hats from Mexico to wear at the evening reception.
