There's more than meets the eye at this incredible Brickhouse Vineyard Devon wedding. Not only is it a stunning celebration of love - but it's a stunning celebration of the love shared by one of our brilliant Recommended suppliers, Paper Belles - wedding stationery extraordinaire! A modern wedding with sprinkles of minimalism, touches of old Hollywood glamour and, of course, beyond-gorgeous, eco-friendly stationery - this is a veritable feast for the eyes. The backdrop of Recommended venue Brickhouse Vineyard was the perfect choice - harmoniously tying together the differing themes. Recommended supplier Emma Hewlett Floral Design supplied the couple with the most gorgeous wedding flowers. Timeless, classic, and with hints of blue to symbolise Will's Irish heritage. What could possibly make this wedding any better, you may be asking? Well - how about a brilliant live wedding band called Ocean Rain, found through, Recommended supplier, Entertainment Nation? Talk about setting the tone for the perfect day.
We loved how our wedding was completely 'us'! We love how it was a juxtaposition between formal and relaxed. An example of this would be the fact that it was a black-tie event and everyone was jumping on a bouncy castle. We incorporated our love for modern minimalism and timeless Irish traditions. Also, when we learned we could have a mini wine and cheese tasting instead of canapés after our ceremony, we were SOLD! We really focussed on choosing local, ethical and sustainable suppliers wherever possible, as that was really important to us both. Of course, I created my own eco-friendly wedding stationery too! Rock My Wedding featured heavily in our wedding planning journey, from inspiration to finding our dream suppliers!

Brickhouse Vineyard Devon wedding venue offers a truly captivating allure. Imagine exchanging vows amidst the idyllic vineyard backdrop, surrounded by friends, family, and the gentle rustle of grapevines. Well, Jade & Will don't have to imagine it - because that dream really did come true for them. The couple completely fell in love with the venue after they went for a wine and cheese-tasting event there. They loved how beautiful the place was, and how warm and relaxed the owners Joanna and Matt were. This was especially important to Jade, who has hidden disabilities. Brickhouse Vineyard also commits to sustainable and organic practices, cultivating a variety of exceptional grapes that thrive in the region's favourable climate and nutrient-rich soil. Jade & Will also wanted to remain eco-conscious when picking out their suppliers and planning their wedding. With eco-friendly stationery and ethical and local suppliers, this wedding was in equal measure stunning and sustainable.
Jade & Will wanted their wedding to be completely unique and individual to them. Rather than having wedding readings, the couple opted for personalised wedding vows, featuring a few phrases written in Gaelic. They also included some excellent song choices, might we add. The bridal entrance as After Rain (acoustic) by Dermont Kennedy, the signing of the register was Lego House by Ed Sheeran, they exited the ceremony to Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran, and their beautiful first dance was to Outnumbered (Acoustic) by Dermot Kennedy. Think it's safe to say the couple are big Sheeran/Kennedy fans. And the personalisation didn't end there! Jade & Will also DIYed a lot of the wedding decor themselves. Adding illustrations of grape vines to the stationery was a beautiful nod to their venue. She also created table name signs which had photos of the bride and groom during the years 1991, 2001, and 2011 (the year they met). Each table name was ten years apart, which led to 10 years later being 2021 (their wedding)!
If we had any advice, it would be this. Make sure you take a moment during the day to just spend some time alone together. Everything is a whirlwind on the day, so it's really important to just take in the moment with your partner. We took some time in the evening to go and sit together outside and watched the rain fall over the vineyard. The moonlight had a beautiful red glow as it was a red harvest full moon. It was such a special moment.
