Botanical Wedding Flowers at LGBTQI+ Wedding

Photography by HBA Photography

Get ready to step right into this urban jungle complete with botanical wedding flowers! Shane & James allowed their creativity to run wild, and damn, are we happy they did. From the hand-painted wall hanging and table plan (which took 35 hours to paint), we can safely say this is one wedding we’ll be thinking about for weeks. Wanting a more classically styled and refined day, this gorgeous couple opted for bespoke black tie suits which complemented one another but reflected their personalities. Of course, each aspect is beautifully captured by Recommended Supplier, HBA Photography. So, get ready to step right into the most stylish rainforest you’ve ever seen...

We are big fans of the outdoors! So, greenery galore and bell jars complemented by objects which referenced our interests were integral.

BOTANICAL WEDDING FLOWERS

Well, I think we can all agree the flowers are taking things to a whole new level! We’re simply obsessing over the incredible vibes they give. Hey, we’re always saying your flowers can truly elevate your wedding decor! Finding a florist who understands your vision is so incredibly important. Thankfully, James & Shane found that in Jane. A true artist who ensured their ideas were brought to life. Also, each botanical specimen had a narrative that linked to their history as a couple - how cute is that!?

ADVICE

We’ll leave this one to James & Shane, as we’re absolutely loving their advice! “Don't become obsessed with what you think your wedding should be like based on an Instagram profile or influencer; the wedding conveyer belt can be overwhelming and costs needlessly spiral. It is your day and all that matters is what is important to the two of you. Don't sweat the small stuff! I became so obsessed with the details and worrying about what people would think it was exhausting - ultimately no one notices; they are just thrilled to be part of your day.” Love. It.

The venue has to be seen to be believed. The team could not do enough for us and finding an industrial space which also had beautiful grounds with a rich history was a diamond find. We were enthralled by the patina of the roof on the top floor along with the millworker etchings on the windows. By having four floors, the wedding felt like it constantly evolved and we were able to flood the spaces with our creative works. No idea was too out there for the team and they understood how crucial the visual spectacle was to us.
