Don't you just love how the brides black wedding dress draws your eye against the serene desert-like backdrop? As does the immense horseshoe floral arrangement consisting of pampas grass, eucalyptus and red roses, which I'm certain you'll be pinning right now ;) You can't help but marvel at the beautiful feminity and masculinity from this same-sex couple too, expertly captured, and wonderfully natural. Love most definitely wins.
VISION
The inspiration shoot was all about love, sensuality and nature, with a rock and glamour edge.
A Wild Moment, Two Women, One Love
As a photographer, nature plays an important role in my work, it’s one of my main sources of inspiration and creation. I like its light palette, landscapes and seasons. The wild and remote location of Abbaretz located between Nantes and Rennes was the ideal spot with a large plain desert-like area similar to those in North America. The mix of pampas and rose floral design was entrusted to Corinne Brandon (Petite Fleur) who immediately knew how to capture the desired atmosphere and impose her style. With the final styling elements being added by Lila & Inès of The MEOW agency. - Anne Letournel Photography
It's not very often our pages are blessed with a coloured wedding dress, let alone a bride in a black wedding dress. The gorgeous design by Sandrine Richard (Portez vos idées) mixes both sensuality and glamour perfectly. We adore the three-quarter sleeves, deep V front and revealing side split, all of which are complemented beautifully with the addition of a felt hat and stunning custom made Malefic Shoes. The look just oozes effortless style.
Same-Sex Couple
The couple expresses their mutual love in this atypical and monochrome place, facing only the raw elements. The idea of a tension between the masculine and feminine is characterised piece by piece. There is the sensual woman on one hand, with her long slit dress, her hat and her hair in the wind, and on the other hand, the androgynous woman, with piercing and tattoos. They are there, together, as in a bubble, loving each other. Plus how can we not mention the presence of the two horses? They embody on their own, the desire for freedom, wild spirits and passion. - Anne Letournel Photography
