Before The Storm

A little Saturday morning escapism for you, courtesy of destination wedding planner and super stylist, In The Mood For Love. I defy you NOT to want to visit the incredible Masseria Moroseta following this feature - those white walls, the open fire places and the beautiful olive grove surroundings are just dreamy. Puglia is now very much on my must-visit list, with this venue as my base! The gorgeous dresses are from the incredible Alexandra Grecco, a New York designer whose collections are always ahead of the curve. They make the perfect addition to this minimal shoot where colours and textures are key. I'm a big fan of deep berry tones, like plum and rouge noir, you may have seen the inspiration feature we did a few weeks ago about using darker shades for your big day, it's such a striking palette. Throw in a dark marbled stationery suite and I'm completely sold. Enjoy this gorgeous shoot lovely ones, but be prepared for a heavy dose of wanderlust and some serious flower envy...

STYLE: The inspiration for this shoot originated from my love for the Apulian countryside of ancient twisted olive trees, white hilltop villages, and the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea. Alexandra Grecco’s timeless gowns were the perfect complement to Masseria Moroseta’s modern, pared down lines. SEASON: Late summer/early fall.  COLOUR: Deep and moody hues of plums and black were a stark contrast to the white palette of the Masseria, enhanced by the dark and stormy tones of the invitation suite designed by Hello Maurelle.  LOCATION: Set in an ancient olive grove near the base of the white walled-city of Ostuni, Masseria Moroseta is designed after the traditional fortified farmhouses that dot the Apulian Countryside. Unique in its modern lines and minimal furnishings, it is the perfect set to showcase the stunning gowns and dramatic florals.
