The Holford Estate is a truly unique location because of its many beautiful, romantic areas that set the perfect tone for the concept behind this editorial shoot. The Holford Estate is a family-run farm steeped in history, with the Tudor-esque Holford Hall at the centre of the beautifully landscaped gardens, orchards, topiary-lined lawns, and Acer trees. There’s also the impressive, unique brick Barn and the clear span marquee flowing out onto the lawn overlooking the horse paddocks, which is ideal for capturing the gorgeous golden glow at sunset. Every wedding celebration held at this venue is treated and planned as if it were the family's own. We love that personal touch!
The inspiration for this shoot came from the late Summer colours of British plants and trees ahead of the transition into Autumn, with some subtle pops of colour remaining and deep autumnal hues creeping in. They worked with a rich yet soft, warm palette of terracottas, peaches and dark hues of chocolate to add a deeper, edgy vibe, which reflects the season. The overall earthy, warm tones are not only natural, beautiful and soft, but they feel in tune with the location and concept and look stunning when paired with taper candles and shimmering glassware. Metallics are one of our favourite decorative elements of the autumn season.
Collaborating with passionate, incredible female suppliers makes my heart so full. Each supplier has their own unique qualities and talents, which often go underestimated or undervalued, and it's important that they are recognised for this and their contribution to our phenomenal wedding industry.
